www.legalaid.am is the official web site of the Members of Coalition of the organisations providing free legal services and/or information dissemination. The main aim of the web site is to elucidate the work of member organisations of Coalition and to find new financial sources for them. The idea of creating such a Coalition raised during the seminar on "Free Legal Informative and Advice Services in Armenia" on November 23-25, 2001 in Sevan, Armenia, which was organised by Armenian Young Lawyers Association with the financial support of Yerevan office of Department for International Development of Great Britain (DFID). The main non-governmental and international organisations  acting  in  the  sphere  of  providing free 

legal informative and advice services participated in the seminar. In the end of the seminar 14 organisations participating in the seminar (further one more organisation joined them) signed a declaration on "The Cooperation of Organisations Acting in the Sphere of Providing Free Legal Services and/or information dissemination". By signing the declaration the local organisations acting in the sphere of providing free legal services and/or information dissemination commenced a serious cooperation to solve jointly the existing objectives and problems in that sphere, as well as to achieve serious results in the above mentioned sphere and to soften the demand of existing legal aid and information among the population.
