On 24th of June in the Culture centre of Alaverdi "The Centre of Youth Legal and Social Support" Non-governmental organization appeared with a program titled "Green way to first graduates of the century". The President and the members of the NGO greeted the boys and girls parted with their childhood and reeling on the threshold of the life yet, encouraged them. Babayan’s family ensemble from Yerevan appeared with a exciting music program for graduates. The gifted and talented children and young adults of Alaverdi and nearby settlements, who were recently participated in competition-festival titled "Gifted people are seeked" organized by "The Centre of Youth Legal and Social Support" NGO, appeared with dancing and singing, poems. It was noted that these children were getting ready for the next stage of their life, the greatest stage named self-affirmation.

The 21^st century should be the beginning of reaches of young adults

The 10th of November was the Youth Global World Day (YGWD). On 9th of November All-Armenian Youth Foundation was organized a ‘round table’ concerning the issues of youth. The representatives of diverse youth organizations participated in that event. On 12th of November a musical program is foreseen to be implemented in the State Theatre of song as well. 
As mentioned the executive director of All-Armenian Youth Foundation Artuor Poghosyan, the YGWD is celebrated in whole world as a day of looking at the future with new sight. To his opinion the sphere of youth is already formed in Armenia. In past the youth was considered by the state as a class to be provided with social donations, but, in present, the young adults raise issues related to their needs and, simultaneously, put forward the ways of those solution. 
The president of National youth council of Armenia (NYCA), the spokesmen of National Assembly of Armenia Mamvel Badalyan mentioned that the 21st century should be the beginning of young adults’ reaches and time of active participation of youth in state, socio-political spheres. On the basis of the data that at present almost 60 youth organizations are joined in National youth council, Manvel Badalyan emphasized the fact that the youth organizations have become more united. 
The chief of the Department of youth issues of the Ministry of culture, youth issues and sports Armen Silanyan mentioned that 108,5 mln. drams have been given by the state for youth issues’ solution. The money will be spent for implementation of numerous programs. Especially, the program related to founding of representative departments of NYCA in diverse districts of Armenia is being financed by the state. It is in process. 
It was mentioned that "The Centre of Youth Legal and Social Support" Non-governmental organization intends to provide the young adults with free legal support, Internet, computer services and library in the near future.

Recently, a filial of "The Centre of Youth Legal and Social Support" NGO was opened in Lori. Armen Martirosyan was elected as a president of the filial. The aim of the organization is to develop the level of legal knowledge, by means of seminars and trainings. To conduct a free legal consultations. The filial has several divisions, namely: sport and culture, social and health, legal and informational. Although the filial is opened in Alaverdi, but it has a marz status. The Central office is located in Yerevan: As it was mentioned by the President of the filial, a competition-festival titled "Gifted people are seeked" has been already implemented. 
The participants were awarded, and 105 children were presented with clothes and toys.
An exhibition was organized as well. During it hand-craft works of gifted children were presented. In the near future a free legal consultation is foreseen to be implemented.

Since January 5, 2001 "The Centre of Youth Legal and Social support" NGO is implementing a program titled "Accessible rights", using the financial support of USAID , Chemonics International Inc. (9000 USD granted) and All-Armenian youth Foundation. Within the period time from April till December, 2001 the NGO had 1320 beneficiars and rendered 1531 consultations. Nevertheless, that program is not the last one. Since October, 2001 the Centre implements the project titled "Resource centre of human rights", using the financial support of the Ministry of Culture, youth issues and sports of Armenia. The aim of the project is to support the socially unprovided students and young adults, protecting their rights and lawful interests. Yesterday, there was a presentation, concerning the foundation of "The Centre of youth legal and social support" NGO, in the Ministry of Culture, youth issues and sports of Armenia. Some spokesmen of the National Assembly of Armenia and ministers participated in it. All of them consider the role of the Centre very important. The President of the Centre presented the future programs and mentioned that the doors of the Centre will be always open for young adults.

"To tell the truth few people are aware of both our internal statute laws, and international ones. So, the need in legal consultations is always apparent.

It is greatly appreciated the implementation of this program related with free legal support, since we are on our way to become a lawful state". By these words started his speech the minister of Culture Roland Sharoyan, during the event related to report-presentation organized by "The Centre of youth legal and social support" NGO yesterday. 
As mentioned the president of NGO Lilit Asatryan, the aim of the first program implemented by the NGO titled "Accessible rights" is to render free legal support to resident grown-ups of Yerevan (above 50 years old). During the program implementation the NGO has widen both its geography (has involved beneficiars from marzes) and the types of services rendered. Free legal support has been rendered to young people as well.
From April 5, 2001 till December 5, 2001 the NGO had 1320 beneficiars. 1183 beneficiars have applied for support to the NGO twice or more times on different issues.
The main part of consultations were constitute: pension issues (17,5%), housing problems (17%), social issues (11,5%). Different issues related to deals and contracts, right of property, heritage, pensions, obligations, criminal law, labour, marriage and military serving, etc. were presented. 
The implementation time of the program titled "Accessible rights" should be expired January 5, 2002, but taking into consideration the fact that the issues being settled within the program-frames are very important and actual, the members of the NGO decided to continue the program realization at the expense of internal resources. 
Since October, 2001 the NGO realizes a project titled "Resource centre of human rights". The aim of the project is to help the socially unprovided students and young adults to protect their rights and lawful interests. As mentioned R.Sharoyan "The youth should be aware of what laws are in force in Armenia by all means".

It’s already a year that "The Centre of Youth Legal and Social Support" Non-governmental organization is implementing a program titled "Accessible rights", the financial support for which is provided by USAID CHEMONICS Inc. and All-community youth foundation. The main aim of the program is to provide the grown-up residents of Yerevan with free legal support, and organize and conduct appropriate seminars, taking into account the actuality and importance of beneficiars’ problems. The President of the NGO Lilit Asatryan mentioned that several claims were worked-out by help of diverse state and non-governmental organizations during the last year, as well as the "The Centre of Youth Legal and Social Support" NGO had 13 court cases and won.
The NGO has a filial in the Marz of Lori and intends to open new ones in other marzes of Armenia.
During coming year will be implemented the project titled "Resource centre of Human rights". The aim of the project is to support the socially unprovided students and young adults, protecting their rights. The beneficiars of the projects will have an opportunity to use the library of the NGO, Internet and other services free of charge. 
The amount of $9000 granted has expired last year, but the NGO is going to operate and continue the realization of new projects at the expense of internal sources of the NGO.

FREE LEGAL CONSULTATIONS IN ALAVERDI

Recently, the free legal consultations were organized and realized in Alaverdi (the main office of the "The Centre of Youth Legal and Social support" NGO’s filial is located in Alaverdi). The initiator of that event was the President of NGO’s Lori filial Armen Martirosyan. During two days 15 residents were provided with legal support by the President of the NGO’s Yerevan central office Lilit Asatryan and lawyer Sargis Karapetyan. 
The problems of the residents of Alaverdi were different, namely: economical, social, criminal, private. The NGO’s members take an obligation, if necessary, to submit a claim to the court, represent and protect their interests after the documents presented will be studied. 
The organizers of this event ensured that similar actions will be periodically arranged.

The Youth will change the world

On April 25-29 there was an Global Youth Service Day called "The young people will change the world". This year "The centre of youth legal and social support" NGO participated in GYSD as well. On 28th of April a Walk was organized towards the Park of Victory. The members of the Organization keeping close to there slogans, such as "We are there, where needed", "Let’s take photographs of the nature and leave just footprints", as well as "Young people will save the world", cleaned some areas of the park. A seminar was organized and conducted in nature, where the young adults with the President of the Organization Lilit Asatryan tried to find complete answers for questions, such as "Who are young people and what their participation in social and political life should be". 
The next day, on 29th of April the all members of the Organization visited the orphanage of Norck. The children of the orphanage were gifted with diverse presents brought by the members, as well as pleasant moments were presented by the "Babayanner" family assemble. The NGO’s president Lilit Asatryan added that they are always ready to help and assist the orphanage. "The Centre of youth legal and social support" NGO helps everyone, who is in need.
